Share your personal notes about Eero Saarinen & the exhibition.
I am researching Mr Saarinen for a class project at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. The class is the history of furniture from the 19th century to the present. I am so pleased to be able to share this website and learn so much about this very interesting personality and gifted ‘artist’. I only wish I could have seen this exhibit, and perhaps purchased a brochure or booklet that may have accompanied this work. And having flown through Dulles airport so often and not ‘looking’ at the structure as art and a significant contribution to our American architectural landscape.I’ll see it differently now!
The purpose of this exhibition and the many years of research behind it is to inform, educate and inspire. I am delighted by your interest and enthusiasm and hopefully your help in getting the exhibition to many more venues, especially campuses that are interested in Saarinen and the ideals he embodied in his work. Any ideas? I am hoping I can interest University of Pennsylvania and am looking for the right time and contacts.
I look forward to seeing this wonderful exhibition in Los Angeles!
I am researching Eero Saarinen for an essay as an assignment for my degree in Architectural Design and Technology at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Wales. This website was most helpful.
I am pleased to know you are researching the work of Eero Saarinen and that the website was helpful to your research.
